As part of our series of reviews of special places and my own Practical Spirituality Practice to connect with special ancient natural energy, I visited the North Cornwall sites of Tintagel, of Arthurian legends, and the ancient Hurler’s Stone Circles, said to lie on the Earth’s Energy Ley Lines connecting to Glastonbury and Avebury, near Stone Henge. North Cornwall – How to get there –
Tintagel – is situated in the County of Cornwall, in the UK, approximately 5 hrs by car West of London, and 2hrs West of Glastonbury. Arriving in Cornwall from the East on the A30, you need to take the A395, shortly after Launceston, towards Camelford, then you will shortly meet the A39 from which you will see a right turn, the B3314. From here, the B3263 takes you through Trewarmett to Tintagel. The nearest train station to Tintagel Castle is Bodmin Parkway, 15.6 miles away and served by the London Paddington to Penzance service. From Bodmin Parkway you can get the number 75 bus to Wadebridge bus station, the 584 bus to Camelford, then the 595 bus to the Tintagel Visitor Centre. Hurler Stone Circles , Minions, near Liskeard , is situated in the County of Cornwall, in the UK, approximately 5 hrs by car West of London, and 2hrs West of Glastonbury. Arriving in Cornwall from the East follow signs to Minions, and the Hurlers Carpark is signposted from the village. For public transport options check out this GUIDE TO GETTING TO THE HURLERS.

Tintagel
The Wootons Inn , I stayed in this B&B in the centre of the town, and close to the entrance road to Tintagel Castle. Some great views from the garden and some of the rooms. Offers a range of rooms and food options. Hotel parking and good location to explore the town, and coastal walkways and the Castle.
Premier Inn, Wadebridge, approximately 13 miles from Tintagel. This is the nearest Premier Inn to Tintagel. I have not stayed at this Premier Inn, but generally I like the quality and consistency of these facilities across the UK. But check it out for yourselves.
Hurler Stones

Premier Inn, Liskeard, approximately 6 miles from the Hurler Stones. This is the nearest Premier Inn to the Hurler’s Stones. I have not stayed at this Premier Inn, but generally I like the quality and consistency of these facilities across the UK. But check it out for yourselves.
Places to eat – Tintagel
Ye Olde Malthouse, Restaurant , Tintagel . We ate in this restaurant one evening, Very well run, friendly staff and great food. Worth a visit.
